Wisconsin - Joseph Wendorf email@example.com
I was born and raised in the greater Madison area, and attended McFarland school systems up until my graduation in 2004. After such time, I traveled north pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Broadfield social studies with an emphasis in History and Political science from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire (Go Blugolds!).
After graduating with honors in December of 2008, I took a position with the Aldine Independent School district in Houston, Texas where I served as a 7th and 8th grade History teacher before being promoted to Social studies department chair and district-level curriculum specialist the following year. I remained in that position while also pursuing my Master’s degree in Public School Administration from Prairie View A&M that would lead me into the role of Middle school administrator.
After a brief stint in the private sector serving as an educational consultant, I have recently relocated back to the Madison area to be near family, friends and of course Wisconsin sports that were missing from my life down south, and am currently embracing a new position with Mr. Rogers and The Page Writer which allows me to use my knowledge, education, and passion for writing to assist students, teachers, and districts expand their writing curriculum and methods to ensure the success of all vested stakeholders.
Throughout my time in the classroom, both as a student and educator, one thing emerged consistently year after year – the stress of planning, preparing, and assessing quality writing in varying genres is a major obstacle that needs to be addressed.
